Race, Equity, and Allyship

In this conversation with Elaine Yarbrough, Lindsay Burr, Cherie Buckner-Webb and Jo Ann Morris we discuss Liberated Relationships, the relationship to comfort and comforting that holds us back from being able to speak the necessary tsunami of truth required to shift race relations.


We must learn how to stay put and stand in the fire in order to be able to understand the depth of pain and experience faced by all non-dominant groups. If you can wear high-heels and get things waxed, you can stand difficult conversations.


This vlog is a little longer than our previous ones. We are glad to model how conversations like this can happen.

Here are some ideas/food for thought on relationships in general from the point of view of women (especially white women). It is much harder to have conversations with others about what they deserve if you think you don't deserve anything. May help ideas flow about steps to take to minimize oppression of self and other.
